blowhorn classify-url

Say what a link is, by the platform rules the engine keeps.

Say what a link is, by the platform rules the engine keeps: post when it names an existing post or comment on a supported platform, with the verbs that platform takes (respond, amplify); page for any other web link, with the platform whose site it is on; none for anything that is not a web link. The desktop app's drop reads this to choose its sheet. It reads the link text only: it opens no browser, signs in to nothing and writes nothing.

output
blowhorn classify-url [OPTIONS] url
Argument Required Description
url yes The link to classify
Flag Type Default Description
--json boolean false Emit the classification as JSON with a stable shape, for a script or the desktop app
--platform string Accepted and ignored by blowhorn classify-url: this command never acts on a platform, so --platform has no effect here -- including a value inherited from BLOWHORN_PLATFORM or defaults.platform in .blowhorn.yaml
--pace string Accepted by blowhorn classify-url because --pace is a global flag, but this command does no paced work -- it sleeps between nothing -- so the value changes nothing about how it runs and appears only in the Pace column of the -v summary. Resolved as CLI flag, then BLOWHORN_PACE, then defaults.pace in .blowhorn.yaml (normal when none is set); an unrecognized value is rejected before anything runs
--risk-profile string Accepted by blowhorn classify-url because --risk-profile is a global flag, but this command does no gated work -- no Risk Profile hold, cap or pace applies to it -- so the value changes nothing about how it runs. A value after the command word wins over one before it; an unrecognized value is rejected before anything runs

Also takes the shared flags: --config, --log-dir, --profile, --exclude, --headless, --chrome-launch, --headed, --dry-run, --verbose.

Examples:

terminal
blowhorn classify-url 'https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7123456789012345678/' --json
blowhorn classify-url https://example.com/article

Output: json with --json, text otherwise.
